Darren Mckoy, former global creative director at Dr Martens, has joined VF Corp as global vice president of product design and creative direction at Timberland.\n\n By Sabina Weston 19 May 2025 \n\n Share Comment \n\n Mckoy exited Dr Martens in January after 10 years at the British footwear brand, including three years as global creative director, reporting to former CEO Kenny Wilson, who stepped down in March.\n\n Prior to joining Dr Martens in 2015, Mckoy held product manager and category roles at Adidas, Mamas & Papas and Asics.\n\n During his three-year tenure at Asics, as category manager for sub-brands Asics Tiger and Onitsuka Tiger, he was named one of the biggest rising stars as part of Drapers' 2013 30 Under 30 list.\n\n Prior to joining Asics, Mckoy held the role of product manager EMEA at VF Corp-owned outdoorwear brand The North Face.\n\n Today's announcement \"marks a meaningful return to VF, and the beginning of a new chapter with an iconic brand I’ve long admired for its roots and cultural legacy\", said Mckoy.\n\n \"I’ve been fortunate to work with heritage brands, shaping stories, building products, and collaborating with teams committed to connecting brand, consumer, and culture with purpose.
