Uber Technologies Inc. reported a market capitalization of $180.73 billion as of mid-2025, with trailing 12-month revenue of $47.33 billion and net income of $12.63 billion. The company has diversified beyond ridesharing into food delivery via Uber Eats and freight shipping via Uber Freight. As of March 31, 2025, the top individual insider shareholders are Turqi Alnowaiser, Dara Khosrowshahi, and Nikki Krishnamurthy, while the top institutional shareholders are Vanguard Group, BlackRock Inc., and Capital Research Global Investors. Alnowaiser, a member of Uber’s board and deputy governor at Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), owns 72.8 million shares and is PIF’s largest single holding in Uber. Khosrowshahi, CEO since 2017, owns 2.29 million shares and previously led Expedia. Krishnamurthy, senior vice president and chief people officer at Uber, owns 671,919 shares. The company also faced a lawsuit from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in April 2025 over deceptive billing practices in Uber One. In 2024, a driver class action lawsuit against Uber and Lyft was dismissed after a court ruled that claims must be arbitrated individually.
