Forsa-Umfrage: Mehrheit der Autofahrer für Tempolimit auf Autobahnen
A recent Forsa-Umfrage on behalf of Targobank revealed that a majority of German drivers (57%) favor the introduction of a general speed limit on highways, although this trend has been declining. In 2022 and 2023, 63% of respondents favored a speed limit, but this dropped to 57% in the current survey. Participants suggested an average speed limit of 133 km/h, up from 130 km/h in previous years. Political parties are divided on the issue, with the SPD supporting a 130 km/h limit, while the CDU and CSU oppose it.
