In his new role, Sinclair will be responsible for nearly $3 billion in spend targeted toward service-level improvements for the Dunkin’ system. Operational improvements include strategic sourcing strategies, infrastructure and team development, according to the release.

"Harry brings nearly 30 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, commodities, and category/supplier management to our industry-leading Sourcing and Restaurant Solutions teams," NDCP CEO Stephen Down said in the release.

Most recently, Sinclair was chief procurement officer for E&J Gallo Winery where he managed a multibillion-dollar spend and was responsible for co-manufacturing plants in the U.S., U.K. and in Europe, per the release.

Sinclair has also held other procurement roles at Flagstone Foods, TreeHouse Foods and Kraft Heinz.

NDCP supports more than 10,000 quick-service restaurants in the U.S. and distributes products to more than 40 countries, the release said. The supply chain management company employs nearly 2,000 employees, and operates nine distribution centers and more than 30 logistics hubs. The company makes upwards of 700,000 deliveries a year.

Efforts around strategic sourcing, inventory, warehousing and transportation have helped generate more than $2 billion in savings for Dunkin’, in terms of cost of goods sold, NDCP said on its website.

“Our Strategic Sourcing and Program Management teams are accustomed to anticipating the unexpected and solving complex problems with creative solutions. That has been true whether they are negotiating the best coffee buys, obtaining eggs during the Avian Flu outbreak or adapting to new products like double walled cups for Dunkin’,” NDCP said.
