Top story in this week’s gold report centres on Endurance Gold (TSXV:EDG), a junior miner that delivered Canada’s newest gold deposit from its Reliance project, estimated at a whopping 1.45 million ounces inferred, with a preliminary economic assessment in the works to build upon the company’s multi‑bagger year‑over‑year returns.

At the time of writing on Wednesday, the price of gold was US$4,865.33, according to data from ADVFN, up from US$4,643.10 per ounce in our January 14th report, catapulted by intensifying geopolitical tension in Iran, as well as Greenland by way of the US, consistent central bank buying and surging safe haven demand from retail investors keen to temper equity volatility.

As gold approaches the US$5,000 mark, companies creating value in the space are enjoying a brighter spotlight, including Sorrento Resources (CSE:SRS), a Newfoundland gold and rare earth elements explorer, whose Rodgers Cove project has yielded trench samples up to 115.6 grams per ton (g/t) of gold over 1 m near Newfound Gold’s district‑scale Queensway project in a broader gold belt hosting multiple discoveries.

There’s also REV Exploration (TSXV:REVX), a junior gold and hydrogen miner, whose untapped properties in the heart of the Chibougamau camp in Quebec are surrounded by company‑making deposits as high as 5.16 million ounces. REV recently closed a C$5.8 million financing, including an investment from none other than Eric Sprott.
