On Thursday morning, two customers were seen vacuuming their vehicles at the brightly-colored red car wash. The car wash boasts a \"cutting-edge system\" that washes your vehicle thoroughly in under 5 minutes—with no compromise on quality. \"We proudly use biodegradable soaps, recycled water systems, and eco-conscious practices to reduce our environmental impact,\" the company stated.\n\nMister Car Wash has been a familiar name in the Victor Valley, with Hesperia about to welcome a sixth location to the area. Nearly a half mile from the new Quick Quack and Sizzler, Mister Car Wash will be the third express car wash built in Hesperia. The new Mister Car Wash is situated on Main Street, between Red Baron Pizza and Extra Space Storage. On Thursday, crews worked on the new Mister Car Wash, with the nearly complete building sporting signage and logos. In 2022, the Arizona-based Mister Car Wash announced the acquisition of three Speed Wash locations in Victorville and one in Hesperia. Since then, a new Mister Car Wash was constructed and opened on Highway 18 in Apple Valley.\n\nDifferent types of car washes In February 2023, the Hesperia City Council established a temporary ban on the construction or expansion of car washes due to negative safety and economic concerns, as reported by the Daily Press. Four months later, the Hesperia council adopted development code standards for all future car wash facilities. Hesperia is home to approximately 20 car washes, including full-service facilities, express facilities, and those located at gas stations, minimarts, and other auto-related businesses. Express car washes are usually fully automated car wash facilities with self-serve vacuum stalls. Full-service car washes are usually stand-alone facilities, where employees either hand-wash or detail vehicles. Ancillary facilities are typically automated facilities associated with gas stations and are more commonly called drive-thru car washes.
