Stewart Glendinning, who was with Tyson Foods from 2018 to 2022, will take over in his new role with Dollar Tree on March 30. Former Tyson Foods executive Stewart Glendinning will become the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Dollar Tree, effective March 30. Glendinning served Tyson Foods as its CFO from 2018 until 2022, when he was reassigned as the president of Tyson’s Prepared Foods business. He held that position for about a year, before he resigned to become the CEO of Express Inc. According to a press release from Dollar Tree, Glendinning joined Dollar Tree earlier in 2025 ‘in a senior role focused on enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including key areas within the company’s finance organization.’ Glendinning while succeed Jeff Davis as the company's CFO. Davis had earlier announced his intent to step down. ‘I’m honored to step into the CFO role at Dollar Tree at such a pivotal time,’ said Stewart Glendinning. ‘What attracted me to Dollar Tree is its amazing culture, the passion of its people, and a very meaningful opportunity to drive a huge amount of value for the business. Stores operate under the brands of Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree Canada. Dollar Tree acquired Family Dollar in 2015. At Tyson Foods, Glendinning was succeeded as CFO by John R. Tyson, while Melanie Boulden succeeded Glendinning as president of Prepared Foods while also serving as chief growth officer. Neither are still in those positions formerly held by Glendinning, although Boulden remains the chief growth officer.
