UScellular Completes Sale of Wireless Operations
UScellular (formerly United States Cellular Corporation) completed the sale of its wireless operations and select spectrum assets to T-Mobile for $4.3 billion, retaining approximately 4,400 towers and spectrum holdings. The transaction includes $2.6 billion in cash and $1.7 billion in debt assumed by T-Mobile. Array Digital Infrastructure (now rebranded as Array) will change its ticker symbol to AD and retain its tower infrastructure for 5G growth. T-Mobile signed a 15-year lease agreement for Array's towers, and the company plans to monetize remaining spectrum assets.
