    Colorado jails using new technology system to communicate critical information about inmates within seconds

    Colorado jails have implemented the Colorado Trusted Interoperability Platform (CTIP) to enable real-time sharing of critical inmate information between facilities, improving public safety by ensuring staff are aware of medical, mental health, and behavioral history before inmates arrive. The system, developed over two years, now operates in four pilot jails and plans to expand to 15 additional facilities by 2026.
