Compass Group, OVO Energy, Holcim and Simba Sleep were among the winners of the 2025 edie Awards, announced at a black tie awards ceremony in London on Thursday evening (13 March). The edie Awards recognise and reward the incredible people, projects and partnerships that are transforming business, for good. Now in their 18th year, the Awards underwent a major revamp for 2025, with a new panel of expert judges, a new category structure and a new large-scale venue for the London ceremony – the Intercontinental, London, the O2. Awards were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted by wildlife and natural history presenter Liz Bonnin. Trailblazing individuals winning an edie Award this year include Chris Goodwin, ESG Manager at Chelsea FC, who was crowned the Rising Sustainability Star, and our Business Leader of the Year, Morag Freathy, CEO of Business and Industry UK at Compass Group. On the business front, Ecotone took home the Lloyds Bank Sustainable Business of the Year Award, while Spacehive was the judges’ pick for SME of the Year.
