E-sports makes debut at the Asian Games 2023

The 19th Asian Games 2023, held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, has officially included esports as a medal event for the first time. Over 500 esports athletes from 31 countries and regions will compete at the Hangzhou Esports Center, a 80,000-square-meter venue designed to resemble a sci-fi spaceship and capable of hosting up to 5,000 spectators. The event marks a significant recognition of esports as a legitimate form of competitive sport, combining strategy, teamwork, and individual skill. Vivo's sub-brand iQOO has been appointed as the official esports gaming phone provider for the event.
