By March 2025, SAP had completed the development of Korean language support for Jule, and starting in April, the company will officially launch the service for Korean clients. SAP CEO Christian Klein shared these updates during the ‘Business Unleashed’ press event at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul on March 20. 'SAP has a wealth of high-quality data, having over 20 years in the industry,' Klein said. 'With 800 million people using SAP’s services worldwide, we have been able to accurately understand what kinds of AI our customers want.' He further highlighted AI’s potential to reduce work hours by automating tasks that previously required manual input from developers. 'High-performance AI, based on data, can significantly reduce work hours by taking over tasks that developers previously had to perform manually,' he explained. 'Using Jule in various areas such as human resources, finance, and supply chain management will enable efficient allocation of resources and reduce employee turnover rates.' SAP’s Presence in Korea and Global Cloud Expansion: Founded in 1972 in Germany, SAP is the global leader in business software, offering enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management (SCM) solutions. The company partners with major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and Google, and has over 26,000 customers worldwide. In South Korea, SAP is already working with LG Electronics and other major corporations. Expanding Data Center Infrastructure: SAP also announced plans to expand its domestic data center operations by April. The company opened its first Korean data center in 2021 and is now making further investments to strengthen its cloud infrastructure. $650 Million Deal to Advance Cloud Data Analytics: Last month, SAP secured a $650 million contract in collaboration with Databricks to develop a cloud data analytics solution. Klein stated, 'We plan to actively target corporations that have not yet transitioned to the cloud.' With Jule’s rollout, continued data center investments, and new cloud solutions, SAP is making a strong push to solidify its position in the Korean and global markets.
