    Columbia student suspended over interview cheating tool raises $5.3M to 'cheat on everything'

    21-year-old Chungin 'Roy' Lee, a former Columbia University student, raised $5.3 million in seed funding for his AI cheating startup Cluely. The startup offers an AI tool to help users 'cheat on everything,' including exams, sales calls, and job interviews. The funding came from Abstract Ventures and Susa Ventures. Cluely's manifesto compares its tool to inventions like the calculator and spellcheck, which were initially criticized for cheating. The startup's co-founder, Neel Shanmugam, also dropped out of Columbia after being involved in disciplinary proceedings over the AI tool.
