The breach, attributed to a ransomware attack on March 19, resulted in potential exposure of sensitive information like social insurance numbers, addresses, and bank details. The company offered free credit monitoring through TransUnion and urged customers to update passwords. The Privacy Commissioner of Canada launched an investigation into the incident.
