Allianz Life data pilfered from Salesforce intrusions exposed
A major U.S. life insurance firm, Allianz Life, has had nearly 2.8 million customer and business partner records stolen due to ongoing cyberattacks on its Salesforce CRM system. The data breach was disclosed by the ShinyHunters hacking group, which claims to have merged with the Scattered Spider and Lapsus$ gangs. The leaked information includes personal details such as names, birthdates, phone numbers, addresses, tax identification numbers, licenses, product approvals, firm affiliations, and marketing classifications. Allianz Life has not confirmed the breach, citing an ongoing investigation. The incident follows ShinyHunters' announcement of unification with Scattered Spider, where they described their operational model as providing initial access to targets and conducting data exfiltration, similar to their previous actions against Snowflake.
