Trump's Presidential Bid
Republican Senator Todd Young of Indiana has announced that he will not be endorsing former President Donald Trump's presidential bid to return to the White House. The announcement comes one day after Trump’s controversial town hall. Young had already been strained following the January 6 attack on the Capitol, and the senator has since criticized Trump’s role in the events that transpired that day. “I don’t intend to support him for the Republican nomination,” Young told reporters on Thursday. Criticism of Trumpâs Comments on War in Ukraine During the townhall, Trump was asked about the warin Ukraine and whether hte wanted Ukraine or Russia to win. Trump declined to give a direct answer and instead said i just wanted the conflict to be resolved. I don t believe that–is disputed.” Young went on to say that she believed Trumps judgment was wrong in this case.
