How we protected data while keeping remote work flexible? 💭 Imagine this: Your team needs access to vital company systems, from emails to files, but employees use personal, unprotected devices. Sounds risky, right? This was the reality for one of our clients from the finance industry. Their employees were accessing sensitive corporate systems, like Office 365 Mail and SharePoint, from non-corporate devices — leaving the company vulnerable to potential data breaches. Remember, it only takes one unprotected device for hackers to gain access to your company’s systems, potentially compromising sensitive information. Something had to change. 🚀 The Challenge: Our goal was clear — secure access to corporate IT systems and ensure that only trusted devices could access sensitive data, no matter where employees were working. But we needed a solution flexible enough to allow employees to remain productive on any device, from any location. 🔐 Our Approach: We implemented Microsoft Entra ID P1 and integrated Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses. By enrolling all devices into Intune and configuring Conditional Access Rules, we created a system where access was only possible through trusted, protected devices. Here’s how we ensured security while maintaining flexibility: ➡ Devices were required to meet security standards like local encryption. ➡ Access to corporate resources like email and SharePoint was geo-restricted to trusted locations. ➡ Lost or stolen devices? No problem. We enabled remote wipe capabilities to instantly delete corporate data if needed. The Result: ✅ Unauthorized devices were blocked — even if someone had both the user’s password and their 2FA code. ✅ With data encryption in place, sensitive information remained secure, even if a device was stolen. ✅ Remote wiping capabilities ensured peace of mind, as corporate data could be erased if necessary. 🔍 The Bigger Picture: This isn’t just about protecting data; it’s about keeping your team productive while minimizing risks.
