Afinum, a private equity investor, has acquired Fishing-King, an e-learning platform for fishing licenses. Fishing-King, founded in 2009 in Cologne, offers specialized online courses and is well-connected within the fishing community. The transaction was financed by a regional savings bank, with legal advice from Renzenbrink & Partner and M&A support from Carlsquare.

Afinum has formed MedTech Laser Group through the acquisition of ARC Laser and NeoLaser, aiming to become an integrated medical laser technologies provider. The group will focus on ophthalmic treatments, surgical applications, and international expansion.
