Our admissions policy is need-blind; each year we have to raise over 90% of the school&#39;s annual budget from sources other than tuition.

We are so grateful to our alum, Joshunda Sanders '92, for spending the evening with our students yesterday discussing her debut novel, Women of the Post! We are so proud to have her in our DLSA family. Joshunda, thank you for sharing your gifts with our school community. As De La Salle Academy celebrates 40 years of providing transformative education and fostering a nurturing community, we reflect on the legacy of resilience, commitment, and academic excellence that has shaped thousands of young lives through the stories of our amazing alums! First up: Dr. Paula Anderson, LCPC, NCC '86! The impact of DLSA: DLSA has had a profound impact on my life. I'll keep it short, but honestly, it could fill a short story! DLSA provided me with a much-needed positive community. As a teenager, my self-esteem was okay, but the De La Salle community really affirmed who I was and reinforced my self-worth during a pivotal time in my adolescence. That surge in confidence allowed me to stand taller and dream bigger, which has stayed with me through high school, college, and beyond. I'm eternally thankful for that. Currently: I am married with two young adult children. I live in Maryland. I am also the Founder, President, and CEO of PACE Consulting, an award-winning Behavioral Health and Organizational Development consulting firm based in the Washington, D.C. area, with 17 years of business experience. Fun fact: When I initially considered starting my business, I was filled with fear and uncertainty. It was the Founder of DLSA, Brother Brian, who I reached out to; his encouraging words gave me the courage to pursue my dreams.

This week, our 8th graders got to attend the Emerson Collective Climate Science Fair! The Climate Science Fair brought together entrepreneurs and innovators deploying climate solutions across the country for a fantastic event right on the High Line! We had so much fun and learned A LOT. Huge thank you to the Emerson Collective for inviting us!
