What a day in Grand Ledge! More leading-edge care close to home. University of Michigan Health broke ground this week on a new 45,000-square-foot health care center near Grand Ledge.

More leading-edge care close to home! University of Michigan Health broke ground today on a new 45,000-square-foot health care center near Grand Ledge. The state-of-the-art facility on E. Saginaw Hwy in Oneida Township will offer comprehensive services under one roof, including urgent care, laboratory, retail pharmacy, primary care, specialty care, outpatient rehab and advanced imaging services. Demolition of the former CARite car dealership is now underway and the new heath care center is expected to open in early 2027.

Beautiful story of compassion to start the week. Current and former UM Health-Sparrow cancer patients Kim Dowling and Cindy Homant visited the UM Health-Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center to deliver 75 care packages to cancer patients. The bags were filled with comfort items like blankets, chap stick and handwritten letters of hope. All items were donated by Michigan State Police, where Kim and Cindy work. Thank you Kim and Cindy!
