Justin McLeod , CEO of the dating app Hinge , doesn’t subscribe to this theory, stating in an interview with Fortune that he doesn’t use other dating apps for research purposes and hasn’t been on a competitor’s platform since 2016. “I don't really care what [others are] doing…because then you start narrowing your focus, and you start comparing yourself to your competitors,” he says.
