BlockTexx owns proprietary technology that separates polyester and cotton materials such as clothes, sheets and towels of any colour or condition back into their high value raw materials of PET and Cellulose for reuse as new products for all industries.

The recovered PET is polymerised to create virgin-quality rPET plastic pellets - PolyTexx® - suitable for use in injection moulding, packaging, building products and textiles.

The recovered cellulose is processed to create Microcrystalline cellulose - CellTexx® - for use in many industries such as agricultural, building and manufacturing.

Today BlockTexx was announced as Jetstar Airways textile recycling partner at their new uniform launch in Melbourne. 

The retired Jetstar uniforms from over 5000 staff will be converted into raw materials for remanufacture into new products: fibre to fibre (clothing the world), fibre to product (protecting the world), fibre to agriculture (greening the world).

Congratulations to the Jetstar team and Genevieve Smart for the thoughtfully designed uniforms embedded with style and sustainability.

BlockTexx closes series B capital raise.

We have some big news for Australia’s textile resource recovery company.

Our series B funding round will accelerate the scaling of our facility from 4,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) to 10,000tpa.

Seed investors Michael Gregg and Sue Gregg, along with Artesian (Alternative Investments) continue their support of BlockTexx® and their backing of home-grown Australian innovation. The funding milestone of $7 million comes from existing investors and fashion innovation platform, Fashion for Good.

We are pleased to announce that Anna Minns will be representing our team at the SIM-PAC 2024, Asia Pacific’s premier solutions-based conference, expo & showcase of low-emissions technology for sustainable manufacturing.
