Long night in CHAPTERS land! 🦇 Between 6pm and 11:30pm last night we placed shares worth EUR 85m to investors. All this happened on the back of the backstop agreement we signed with a group of investors, led by Daniel Ek's family office Antheia, in April 2024. The announcement is an important milestone for us as we are leaving the somewhat crazy CHAPTERS Ground Zero phase, entering CHAPTERS 1.0 🏄♂️ CHAPTERS Ground Zero lasted from 2019-2024 and was all about tinkering and testing what could work. CHAPTERS 1.0 is all about scaling the handful of superpowers that we found over the last few years. We are in the middle of rolling out the Manuscript Method - our organizational framework of how the group runs based on Policy Deployment. The reason we put this effort in is to build the structures for a much larger group. In fact, we see plenty of M&A opportunities at this moment and now got the ressources to go fishing for the right partners to join CHAPTERS 🎣 ! https://lnkd.in/dzfBi7y2

A lot of news this week - Marc Maurer is not only busy with building the Manuscript, our internal strategic framework based on Policy Deployment, with us - but also looking for VMS companies in Switzerland that look for a new home (and teaching us ‚Nordlichtern‘ in Hamburg some new Suisse expressions, oder?) 🚀

The year is still young but the deal funnel is filling up 🙂 Today, we are happy to announce the signing of binding backstop agreements for €52m @ €24.70 per share. With these backstops secured, we intend to conduct a rights issue in summer - also at €24.70 per share. We aim to raise €60m-80m depending on deployments opportunities at the time. Antheia, the family office of Daniel Ek , founder of Spotify, led this round and builds on its existing investment in CHAPTERS Group 🤘 With Antheia and also the continued support of our lead investors Sator Grove Holdings and Mitch Rales, we take additional steps toward realizing our vision to become the best home for mission critical businesses. My thanks goes out to our talented team, who has done great work over the last several years to earn the interest and support from this esteemed group of long-term investors 👊 These funding news come at a time when we put increased emphasis on building systems and structures to scale CHAPTERS to the next level. Our platforms have lot's of opportunity to invest and we feel really comfortable to to keep up the high pace. CHAPTERS now looks very different from a few years back. Our businesses are better quality and we have many more great talents Building the Home for Mission Critical Businesses. It's now all about execution and making sure we got the right systems in place to scale. I think we got the best shareholder base for our mission. In this placing, we added several European tech founders and funds to our cap table. More mentors to help us get better.
