Delmatic are working with T Clarke to deliver the latest DALI-2 lighting controls, with MQTT smart data sharing and tuneable white temperature control of lighting to the 12 storey podium as well as the 23 and 38 storey towers. The building will target net zero carbon in construction and the Delmatic system will contribute towards the target of BREEAM Outstanding.

Delmatic Lighting Management are delighted to release our transformative macro climate sensor, which sits at the apex of PIRs extending beyond the traditional lighting management offering of occupancy and daylight harvesting. The addition of the latest climate metrics allows for sharing and monitoring of temperature ('C), humidity (%), and air quality parameters (TVOC, AQI & eC02) as well as inbuilt BLE Bluetooth® capabilities for asset tracking, wayfinding and seamless connectivity to wireless switches. Buildings and the construction industry account for around 40% of the world’s energy-related carbon emissions, and the macro climate sensor accentuates sustainability delivering enormous energy saving efficiencies by relating the power-consuming services lighting, heating and air conditioning to occupancy of space. We are delighted to have been award the top prize in the infrastructure category at the 2023 DALI Alliance awards for the breathtaking Zayed International Airport. We supplied our latest DALI Smart System to control and monitor the 180,000 DALI Luminaires and 35,000 Emergency Luminaires as well as smart interfaces with the BEMS, Fire Alarm and AV systems. Sustainability was at the heart of the project design and the Terminal has received an Estidama 3 Pearl Rating making it the highest rated airport terminal in the GCC and the largest singular building ever to be rated globally. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Woodnutt MBE, founder and chairman of Delmatic. John pioneered lighting controls in the late 1950s, and those first innovative products and concepts paved the way for rapid implementation of controls during the energy crises of the 1970s and sowed the seed for the global sustainable and smart buildings sector of today. A serial inventor, John dedicated more than sixty years to the design of cutting-edge solutions and, at the age of 97, was still discussing products and projects and inspiring others in the advancement and application of technology to enhance energy efficiency, sustainability and convenience. John will be remembered with respect and great affection.
