Today marks the second anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act and there are many transportation electrification milestones to celebrate: 8% of new vehicles sold in U.S. are electric, up from just 2% a few years ago. EV sales in the second quarter this year grew by 11.3%, hitting a record-high volume of more than 330,000 models sold, according to Kelley Blue Book. In addition, consumer tax credits for new and used EVs, coupled with the availability of more affordable models, are accelerating the transition to all-electric transportation and moving us from early adopters to the mass market.  
 
With this increase in EV sales comes a great need for public charging infrastructure, and EVgo is stepping up to the plate. Critical tax provisions — like 30c — are spurring investment in charging infrastructure, with a focus on expanding access in rural and lower-income communities. The IRA has helped drive incredible growth in the EV industry and we’re excited to celebrate more electric milestones ahead.

Today, EVgo announced yet another excellent quarter. In Q2, we achieved record revenues of over $66 million, making it the 7th sequential quarter of double-digit growth in charging revenue and the 6th consecutive quarter of triple digit YoY growth in network throughput. These results demonstrate the strong underlying demand for public fast charging and confidence in our path to profitability.  
 
I am excited about our momentum driven by the hard-working teams at EVgo and look forward to continuing to share our progress in 2024 throughout the rest of the year.
