We are proud to announce that non-alcohol production has officially started at our +$400 million multi-beverage manufacturing facility in Queensland, Australia. V Energy was the first product off the line and by mid-2025, the facility will also produce Suntory’s iconic Ready-To-Drink (RTD) alcohol brands, including -196, Canadian Club and Dry®, and Jim Beam and Cola®. The 17-hectare site will be the manufacturing and distribution hub for our multi-beverage portfolio of over 40 market leading brands, delivering full ownership of our supply chain. Thank you to Queensland Treasury and Ipswich City Council for joining us to mark this milestone. Our site is proudly supported by the Queensland Government’s Invested in Queensland Program and we are thrilled to be harnessing the region’s great local talent, strong infrastructure and connectivity to power this next phase of growth as we gear up for alcohol production to commence from mid-2025.

As we build our Suntory Oceania future, we’re continuing to grow so we are ready to become the region’s fourth largest beverage player from mid 2025. Over the next 12 months we’re expanding our team, hiring over 400 new Suntorians across Australia and New Zealand. We’re thrilled to announce that next year we are moving to a new office in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Last week, we were proud to host the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Resources at our new manufacturing and distribution facility in Ipswich, Queensland. As the committee leads for the Federal Government’s Inquiry into Food and Beverage Manufacturing, we welcomed the opportunity to share our recommendations on the subjects of innovation, export, excise, sustainability, skills and infrastructure, which are critical to help companies succeed domestically and compete internationally. The largest FMCG investment in Australia in the last 10 years, our Ipswich facility sets a benchmark for its advanced technology and carbon neutral commitments, as well as demonstrating extensive capability and capacity. Thank you to Mrs. Michelle Landry MP, Ms. Alison Byrnes MP MP, Mr. Dan Repacholi MP, and our local member Mr. Shayne Neumann MP for taking the time to understand our vision and aspirations for Suntory Oceania.
