This deal highlights GiantLeap's strategy of backing strong management teams alongside leading global alternative asset managers and technology companies, and specifically supports the investment needed to meet the demands of hyperscalers and technology companies for continued growth driven by cloud computing and AI.

🎉 NECEC Celebrates an Amazing First Day of ClimaTech Live 2024! 🎉 

Our team was blown away by the first full day of ClimaTech activities at MGM Music Hall and House of Blues today! So many dedicated climate innovators came out to engage in the phenomenal day of speaking programs, discussions, and networking opportunities.

Following the VIP Welcome Breakfast and Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey's welcome remarks, NECEC President Joe Curtatone welcomed attendees to the Infrastructure Stage at House of Blues today, introducing two insightful panels: "How to Solve Climate Change at the Nexus of Policy and Technology," moderated by Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor John E. Fernández and featuring MIT Professors Desirée Plata and Jessika Trancik, and; "Universities Driving Energy Transformation through Global Partnerships," moderated by NECEC Board Member and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of Energy Transformation Melissa Lavinson, and featuring University of Massachusetts Lowell Chancellor Julie Chen and University College Cork President John O'Halloran.

Other panels on the Infrastructure Stage today included "Workforce of the Future," with workforce development professionals Pastor Giles and D. Evan van Hook from VIRDI and Nicola Medalova from National Grid; "Community Partnership and Clean Energy Infrastructure: A New Model for Development," with Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) Chief Innovation & Communications Officer Kerrick Johnson, Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Grand Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer; Adirondack Council Adirondack Wilderness Campaign Director Dr. Aaron Mair, and NECEC member Hydro Québec COO Serge Abergel, and; "Financing a Green Revolution," with Bank of America National Technology & Green Economy Executive Scott Olmsted, GIANT LEAP CAPITAL Managing Director for IR & ESG Joan Cheng, and NECEC Board Member and Azolla Ventures Co-Founder & General Partner Amy Duffuor.

NECEC also wants to give a shoutout to all of the ClimaTech 2024 staff who worked so hard to design and execute such a fantastic gathering of influential leaders and to companies like MoveEV who showcased incredible booths on the expo floor!
