Hess provided support to the Stanley Community Park District in Stanley, North Dakota for a rock-climbing wall as part of a community investment project. In 2023, we donated $15,800 to the Stanley Parks and Recreation department which allowed them to build the rock wall at their newly renovated community pool.

Hess was recently featured in Offshore magazine’s 2024 July/August issue with an article co-authored by Jacob Vizinat, Hess Senior Manager, Offshore Technology and Jason Harry, Hess Advisor, Technology & Innovation.
 
The article, “Empowering a Digital Future: Human-Centric, Agile Collaboration for Offshore Innovation,” discusses how offshore operators are exploring the use of digital innovation to maximize value, optimize asset performance and reduce impacts to the environment. It also looks at Hess’ Connected Worker pilot, part of our Gulf of Mexico’s multiyear Autonomous Fields of the Future (AFoF) program.

Hess honored eight North Dakota 4-H and FFA high school seniors with its annual scholarship program in partnership with the North Dakota State Fair Foundation. In a special ceremony at the 2024 North Dakota State Fair in Minot, ND, Hess awarded a total of $40,000 in 2024 scholarships to the awardees. Each recipient is dedicated to pursuing secondary education or training that supports the community or the oil and gas industry.
 
Earlier this year, Hess also contributed a total of $10,000 in grants to
National 4-H Council Clubs and National FFA Organization Chapters in North Dakota that would benefit their communities.

Our Hess volunteers recently participated in the four-week Camp Adventure summer learning program hosted by the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, Houston ISD and Children's Museum Houston. Camp Adventure provides at-risk elementary students in Houston’s Third and Fifth Wards with hands-on learning projects and activities in STEM, art and reading.

Our Hess volunteers participated in the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Raising a Reader volunteer event at the Points of Light conference. We thank our Hess team for organizing and bundling books and literacy resources for parents of newborns and assembling bags to be distributed by nurses at Houston hospitals.
