At McCain Foods, we are committed to #sustainability throughout our entire #SupplyChain. We are a proud partner of The Consumer Goods Forum and have been involved in testing the World Wildlife Fund's Global Farm Loss Tool, which helps #farmers systematically measure food loss hotspots and address the reasons behind them. Our McCain growers used the tool to estimate food loss across the #harvest season—it kicked off internal discussions around new ways to redirect surplus for other purposes.

We’re currently in the thick of our fourth #GrowingSeason at the commercial research farm, testing and trialing #RegenerativeAgriculture practices.

Our Farms of the Future project is a cornerstone in our #sustainability agenda and supports McCain’s global commitment to implement regenerative agricultural practices across 100% of its potato acreage worldwide by the end of 2030. 

Thanks to the dedication of our farmers, our team, research partners, and people like Colton, we have seen significant strides towards our goal.

Through our Farms of the Future initiative, we are merging cutting-edge #research with #regenerative practices to reimagine the way we grow a potato that is better for both farmlands and the planet. Our goal is to implement regenerative practices across 100% of the global acreage that grows potatoes for McCain by 2030. We are proud to report significant progress—over half of our farming partners already on board, and 28% advancing towards adoption of regenerative farming.
