It has strategic alliances with AstraZeneca PLC; Merck & Co., Inc.; Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated; Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Europe) Limited; Carisma Therapeutics, Inc.; Metagenomi, Inc.; the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency; Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority; Institute for Life Changing Medicines; and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as a collaboration and license agreement with Chiesi Farmaceutici S.P.A. The company was formerly known as Moderna Therapeutics, Inc. and changed its name to Moderna, Inc. in August 2018. Moderna, Inc. was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Moderna and Merck announced today the initiation of the pivotal Phase 3 randomized V940-001 clinical trial evaluating mRNA-4257 (V940), an investigational individualized neoantigen therapy, in combination with KEYTRUDA, Merck’s anti-PD-1 therapy, as an adjuvant treatment in patients with resected high-risk (Stage IIB-IV) #melanoma.
 
Global recruitment in V940-001 has begun, and the first patients are now enrolling in Australia.

This week we conducted an onboarding session for our largest cohort of co-ops to date - 122 students!

During onboarding, our latest cohort had the opportunity to put the Moderna #mindsets into practice, learn about employee resource groups and hear from company leaders.

Our co-ops, who represent 26 unique schools, are contributing to impactful projects across all functions at Moderna through mid-December. Join us in welcoming them!
