As part of our Meet the Ocean Enterprise Collective Founding Members series, please meet deltaDAO AG. Read on to learn more about who they are, what motivated them to join the OEC and what excites them most about Ocean Enterprise.

What does deltaDAO do?
deltaDAO AG is a digital service ecosystem builder and operator based in Hamburg, Germany. Founded in 2021, our focus is to enable a transparent, secure, and resilient digital service economy in which large enterprises, SMEs and public institutions can create valuable data products while keeping full technical control over their private data. 

What motivated deltaDAO to join the Ocean Enterprise Collective?
As a founding member deltaDAO has been engaged in the Ocean Enterprise Collective since day 0. We provided the first functional ecosystem “Pontus-X”, powered by Gaia-X based on Ocean Protocol components and free open-source software in 2021. Next, we onboarded more than 100 institutions to Gaia-X and the Pontus-X ecosystem and is engaged in several publicly funded Gaia-X lighthouse projects and private data economy initiatives in the domains of manufacturing, mobility, aviation, energy, cloud services and industry 4.0. The need for an industry-ready data economy framework and protocol led to us becoming one of the founding members of the Ocean Enterprise Collective.

What excites you most about Ocean Enterprise and why? 
We have been building towards a scalable, industrial, open-source stack on the basis of Ocean Protocol over the last three years. Being embedded in the Gaia-X ecosystem of ecosystems, the need for a community-owned dedicated software stack,  tailored to meet enterprise needs and the data act, has become a joint priority of many ecosystem participants and initiatives. This is now being answered by Ocean Enterprise and we are proud to contribute to the joint effort with the Ocean Enterprise Collective as we bring the Pontus-X ecosystem to production with our launch partners.

We shared insights about the role of decentralization for a future with advanced AI, with a large inquisitive audience here in Berlin at the European Identity Conference https://lnkd.in/dGyRZsCz on two panels moderated by another old time friend, Scott David who instigated a lively discussion with salient points: https://lnkd.in/dTUHsUGB

- Matter can be arranged such that when it obeys the laws of physics it remembers, computes and learns, as such intelligence doesn't have to be biological - it is substrate independent.

- Intelligence is a pattern in the space-time arrangment of particles, and it is *the pattern* that matters, not the particles / substrate. (This is best understood via the "wave" phenomenology: waves behave the same in water, air, or fans making waves in a stadium - the wave traverses but the molecules/fans barely move up and down without changing positions).

- We are 10 at power 33 from reaching the hardware limits on which we can still accelerate intelligence. What would the World / Universe look like once we get there...?...

- The Centralized AI paradigm aims at creating "AI as God" in an arms race for whose "God" is more powerful. 

- The Decentralized AI paradigm develops personalized AI to enhance our individual capabilities, work for and which is aligned with our flourishing individually and as a species. 

- From SSI (Self-Sovereign Identity), with Decentralized AI we leap into SSAI (Self-Sovereign AI) - embedding the values of empowerment into AI with focus on uplifting humanity by shifting the paradigms in education (from loss of agency to accountability), healthcare (from sickness to staying healthy), etc. thus departing from the profit maximization paradigm of Centralized systems.

All agreed that it is time to leave the systems captured by the Centralized profit-making paradigm and rebuild the Social Operating System in which humans and AGI agents co-create the collective flourishing. The ASI Alliance is committed to this radical shift by deploying a Superintelligence that is amplifying all of us through open, transparent models driven by verifiable good tech that runs on the rails of the new Decentralized "Internet of AI developed by HyperCycle.
