𝗡𝗚𝗟, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝙖𝙣𝙭𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆… After sharing my experience with depression so openly on LinkedIn , I was really nervous to show up at an industry event—𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦. But being surrounded by 100+ amazing female founders in the BUY WOMEN BUILT community, and standing in a space that truly champions us, like Ocado Retail , reminded me I wasn’t really alone 💚 Funny enough, I guess the timing of my post couldn’t have been better—I met a founder who’d read it and said my honesty is what made her feel comfortable sharing her own struggles 🥺 Such a great reminder that c͟o͟m͟m͟u͟n͟i͟t͟y͟ ͟r͟e͟a͟l͟l͟y͟ ͟m͟a͟t͟t͟e͟r͟s͟ 🤝 In fact, research shows that people in support groups see a 𝟳𝟴% 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗳𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘀, and feel more 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 than those without this kind of support!
