Samaras Structural Engineers are privileged to be partnering with BESIX Watpac , in partnership with Renewal SA , for the creation of Australia’s first Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF) for Boeing 737-variant military aircrafts in Penfield, South Australia. Strategically positioned adjacent to the Royal Australian Air Force Edinburgh base, the purpose-built facility will be 240m long, 60m wide and 25m high, over two-thirds the size of Adelaide Oval. Samaras’ scope of works includes the supply, fabrication, delivery, and erection of approximately 1500 tonne of structural steel. Construction is currently underway with project completion scheduled for mid 2026. One of Australia's oldest and most prestigious clubs is set to receive a new lease on life. Samaras Structural Engineers is thrilled to collaborate with Richard Crookes Constructions on the redevelopment of the heritage-listed City Tattersalls Club , located on Pitt Street, at the heart of Sydney's CBD. The revitalisation of the City Tattersalls Club will encompass a complete renovation of the 126-year-old historic building, all while preserving its rich history and heritage, as well as the construction of a new 51-story tower, housing 241 apartments and a high-end hotel with 110 rooms. Samaras is honoured to supply, fabricate, deliver, and erect an estimated 96 tonne of structural steel for this project. Construction is currently underway with project completion scheduled for 2027. Samaras Structural Engineers are excited to be partnering with FDC Construction & Fitout for the redevelopment of the Cutaway in Barangaroo. Samaras has been successfully appointed to supply, fabricate, deliver and erect approximately 450 tonne of structural steel for this project. The Cutaway is a unique cultural venue that sits below the eastern end of Barangaroo Reserve and features an enormous sandstone wall that opens to the sky. The NSW Government is transforming the Cutaway into one of Sydney’s premier cultural facilities and an outstanding venue for events, exhibitions, festivals, and installations. Construction is currently underway with the project scheduled for completion in 2025. We have achieved a significant milestone on site of the Western Sydney International Airport project, marking the completion of the terminal roof structure. A significant milestone was reached over the weekend at Sydney Gateway, with the final stage completed and now open to commuters. Samaras Structural Engineers has had the honour of collaborating with John Holland and Seymour Whyte to construct and deliver 72 structural steel bridge girders for this project. These steel girders range in weight from 35 to 100 tonne. Sydney Gateway is designed to accommodate 100,000 vehicles daily, including 10,000 trucks, and promises to significantly reduce travel times between Western Sydney and the airport by an impressive 40 minutes. 88 Walker Street receives two global awards, joining an elite stable of Australian Projects. North Sydney’s tallest tower has been awarded not one but two coveted Awards of Excellence from the Council of Tall Buildings and Urber Habitat (CTBUH). Standing at 180 meters, the jaw dropping 50 storey multi-use tower won awards for Best Tall Building by Height (100-199 Metres) and Region (Oceania) and will now compete for ‘Overall Category Winner’ within both divisions.
