These young builders are gaining prominence online while bringing awareness to vocational career options outside of traditional college pathways.

Creators like Lexis Czumak-Abreu (@lextheelectrician) record themselves in the field via Instagram posts like this one (https://lnkd.in/gDpGWDYx), attracting 750K+ followers with day-in-the-life videos about their work.

It’s proving a lucrative business: As searches relating to skilled trades rise, influencers like Czumak-Abreu are earning $200K+ in brand deals with companies like Klein Tools and Carhartt.

In the effort to combat skilled labor shortages, online personalities spark interest from younger generations to bridge skilled labor supply gaps. 

So while they may not fit everyone's conception of traditional welders or carpenters, craftspeople like Chloe Hudson (https://lnkd.in/gPqQmMDD) and Matt Panella (https://lnkd.in/gUURvkMa) are bringing building trades to a new generation.
