Under the vision "Driving transformation by connecting people, technology and capital", we offer financial service providers and their customers access to digital and sustainable innovations - on the one hand through investments in early-stage start-ups (invest) and on the other hand through our own developments (build).

We believe in the added value of collaborating with our network partners to identify and offer the best possible solutions (connect). For us, technology is not an end in itself, but always a tool to achieve the goal.

In our three business areas (invest, build, connect), the topic of sustainability is deeply rooted alongside digitalization: we consciously invest in start-ups that offer solutions for sustainable transformation, look at future technologies, evaluate their impact and bring the FinTech and sustainability scene together through our formats. 

Our projects include the IMPACT FESTIVAL, Europe's largest B2B event for sustainable innovations, and the IMPACT SOLUTIONS platform. With Lissi, we also spun off our first own venture in 2023.

Wie schaffen wir es, die ökologischen und sozialen Herausforderungen dieses Jahrhunderts zu meistern? 

Diesen Fragen geht die ChangeNOW in Paris nach. Bei der diesjährigen Ausgabe waren natürlich auch unsere Kolleginnen Mara, Linda, Valeria, Josa und Maëlyss aus dem IMPACT FESTIVAL Team mit dabei. Einige ihrer Highlights teilen wir gerne jetzt mit euch: 

1️⃣ Innovative Solutions:
Besonders beeindruckt waren die vier von den präsentierten Start-up-Lösungen. Maras Highlights dabei: Witty Works - ein Startup, das LLM-Modelle wie ChatGPT und deren diskriminierende Bias gegen Frauen und andere Minderheiten challengt. Oder auch Earth Plus, die eine Pflanzenart entwickelt haben, welche Böden von Schadstoffen reinigt, zusätzlich CO2 bindet und letztlich als biobasiertes Kreislaufmaterial in der Baubranche genutzt werden kann. Um es in den Worten unserer Kollegin zu sagen “komplett crazy”!

2️⃣ Einsatz neuer Technologien: 
Insbesondere bei den nature-based Lösungen konnte unser Team sehen, wie Technologien wie Blockchain und KI eingesetzt werden können, um diese Ansätze investierbar zu machen und private sowie öffentliche Finanzierungen effektiver zu bündeln. 

3️⃣Moderation einer eigener Session:
Zu guter Letzt hatte Mara noch die Möglichkeit, eine Session über die Anpassung von Küstenstädten zu moderieren. Die Einblicke von Expert:innen wie Martin Powell, ehemaliger Deputy Mayor von London, der jetzt bei AXA für Nachhaltigkeit verantwortlich ist, verdeutlichen die Notwendigkeit von Anpassungsstrategien und die Herausforderungen, denen Städte bei der langfristigen Planung gegenüberstehen.

All of this is done through the three areas of invest, build, connect.
