The Velocity Network Foundation® is a non-profit membership organization hosting prominent labor market stakeholders from across HR Tech, Education Tech, gig and freelance platforms, contingency workforce, job search platforms, background providers, assessment processors, non-profit and multilateral organizations, employers, and educational institutions. These organizations came together to develop and deploy Velocity Network™, the Internet of Careers®, a next-gen data utility layer for the modern job market.

A digital public good, Velocity Network™, a purpose-built decentralized protocol and blockchain network that forms a public infrastructure for the exchange of verifiable, trusted, and globally interoperable career and education credentials. 

The Foundation is responsible for the governance of Velocity Network™ and the use of the Network by all involved parties. The Foundation is responsible for continuously building the rulebook, facilitating the provision of network services in a safe and compliant manner, and guiding the development of the decentralized protocols.

SOLO Network and Velocity Network Foundation are thrilled to announce the commencement of our collaborative integration for credential issuance.

After extensive mutual discussions and strategic product decisions, we have initiated the technical development required to bring this integration to life. This partnership will ensure seamless compatibility between SOLO Network and the Velocity Network protocols, enabling credentials issued on SOLO to be accepted by all Velocity-enabled wallet users and disclosed with all relying parties.

Velocity Network is recognized as one of the most advanced digital trust ecosystems for W3C Verifiable Credentials. Building on this foundation, the third article in Andres Olave three-part series concludes his exploration of the unique elements of Credential and Issuer Trust on Velocity Network.
In this last part, Andres answers the question of how a verifier can be sure an issuer is an authoritative source for the credential. He introduces the primary source and third-party (or notary) issuers and how that adds extra challenges to proving the reliability of credentials, and how Velocity Network addresses this challenge.
