Aon, a global insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Dan Hartung as Global Head of Event Response for Risk Capital. Hartung, with 15 years of expertise in meteorology and catastrophe analytics, will oversee event response operations, enhance risk insights for clients, and lead the development of a new event analytics platform. His role involves assessing industry exposure, leveraging proprietary technologies, and improving preparedness for natural disasters.

Aon has appointed Andy Marcell as CEO of global solutions, where he will lead the company’s integrated risk capital and human capital capabilities. He will remain CEO of reinsurance until September 1, 2025.
