UFC has signed a three-year deal with 4D Sights technology to use its 4D Sights technology to digitally swap lucrative advertising logos onto the surface of its Octagon fighting arenas during bouts. The technology allows UFC to segment logo sales by territory and comply with country-by-country restrictions on advertising for sectors such as gambling, alcohol, or tobacco. The technology is based on inserting the logo downstream, replacing it in real time in a video stream. UFC plans to incorporate the ads into its live broadcasts soon and may include logos that change to signal new prop bets or personalized ad targeting. 4D Sights technology has already been used in sports such as esports and Call of Duty.
