Yesterday, we announced after nearly 18 years with #TeamSleepNumber , including 12 years as President and CEO, Shelly Ibach shared her plans to retire as Chair, President and CEO in the first half of 2025. Under Shelly’s leadership, Sleep Number transitioned from a mattress manufacturer named Select Comfort to a sleep wellness technology leader. Shelly’s innumerable contributions include the introduction of our life-changing smart beds and digital wellness platform; evolution of our company’s purpose – to improve the health and wellbeing of society through higher quality sleep; and the creation of a vertically integrated business model with exclusive direct-to-consumer distribution through nearly 650 Sleep Number stores and online. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shelly for her visionary and courageous leadership, and for making Sleep Number the purpose-driven company it is today. Pursuant to its established succession plan, the Board of Directors has engaged an independent executive search firm to help identify Ibach’s successor. To support an effective transition, Shelly will serve as a strategic advisor to the new CEO and Board through the end of 2025.
