Did you know that our South Flank mine in Western Australia is fully autonomous? 

Our primary haul fleet of 41 haul trucks and around 185 pieces of ancillary equipment are able to operate safely around them in the site's five Autonomous Operating Zone (AOZ's). 

It's part of our ambition to create one of the most advanced and innovative iron ore mines in the world.

🤝 We are partnering with Rio Tinto and BlueScope to accelerate the decarbonisation of steelmaking by agreeing to jointly investigate the development of the country’s first ironmaking electric smelting furnace (ESF) pilot plant. 

◾ If successful, it could open a potential pathway to near-zero greenhouse gas emission-intensity operations for steelmakers. 

◾ The pre-feasibility study work program is expected to conclude at year-end. If approved, the pilot facility could be commissioned as early as 2027.

Standing tall in Saskatchewan!

👷♀️ Lyndall is standing at the top of one of the tallest structures in Saskatchewan – the headframe at our Jansen potash site in Canada!

🌍 Following the ramp up of Jansen Stage 2, Jansen will have a production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes a year of potash, supplying potentially 10 per cent of the world's potash.

🌱 Potassium naturally occurs in soil, but farming depletes this mineral faster than naturally occurring sources can replenish it. Regular use of potash helps maintain the productivity of fields that have lost nutrients.
