This week I was invited to participate in a Diversity in Tech panel hosted by Snap Inc.  and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our London office welcomed 60 bright young students to discuss tech careers, diversity and inclusion, imposter syndrome and how to build your skills. 

An absolute pleasure to share the stage with Chidinma S. C., Hala Zein, Erin-Rhiarna Francis, Alfie Goatcher, Leo Collins. Thank you Cordelia B. for another great event supporting our younger generation (and snapchat users!).

In collaboration with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, we are excited to debut a first-of-its-kind AR experience at de Young museum. Visitors will be able to try on evening looks from iconic designers including Yves Saint Laurent for house of Dior, Valentino and Kaisik Wong using Snapchat AR Mirrors. 

The Snapchat AR Mirrors will be on display throughout the entirety of the ‘Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style’ exhibition from January 20 – August 11, 2024. #FashioningSF

Yesterday morning, we brought together a group of industry leaders to hear from Snap Inc.'s Chief Creative Officer, Colleen DeCourcy, CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon, Consulting Director at Behave, Lea Karam, and Journalist and Author, Pandora Sykes, who gave their perspectives on the changing social media landscape and what this evolution means for brands and audiences.

My three key takeaways from the panel...

🕛  Each generation evolves the media landscape - we need to be alert to where the next generation are spending their time online and why.
💛  Amidst a friendship recession, people are increasingly seeking meaningful connection with the people they care about.  
📱  People are craving authenticity and are being more selective about the creators and brands they follow.

We also gave attendees a preview of what’s coming from Snap this year. I can't wait to share more over the coming months.

I have been working alongside Julie Bogaert for the past few months  on this meaningful project and today after a long awaited time we launched 'café filtre' Snapchat's first podcast dedicated to creators. This new medium will offer creators a new way to share their stories, their values and how they engage with their communities.
