Every year on World Water Day we announce how much money that, together with our brilliant customers, we have generated for WaterAid 💧 At Belu, we give 100% of our net profit to WaterAid each year. So, without further ado, the total amount given to WaterAid this year is £377,000*! Since 2011 the overall total we have given to WaterAid is £5.8 million. Earlier this month, we teamed up with our friends at Fanfare Label for a fun and eco-conscious collaboration 🎉 Together, we hosted a giveaway featuring their beautiful up-cycled tote bag and our brand-new refillable bottles. We always love working with businesses that share our commitment to sustainability. Fanfare Label’s impact speaks for itself: just one pair of their up cycled jeans saves 9,500 litres of water, reduces CO2 emissions by 34 kg, and diverts 1 kg of waste from landfills 🌍 It's been great to learn about the world of sustainable fashion, and to see our must have accessories captured together! We loved the Independent Hotel Show London 2024 💙 Fantastic to be part of a show that brings together so many passionate hoteliers, hospitality professionals and suppliers, all united by a love for hospitality. There was so much energy and dedication in the room throughout. One standout moment for us was The Sustainability Showdown panel, where Felicity Cousins , Kai Parfitt Georgina Keighley-King , Jessica Manley and Sarah Duncan shared powerful insights on the different sustainability journeys hotels have to navigate. The message was clear: no matter where you are on your path, the key is to start—even small wins should be celebrated as progress! Here is what we were up to at Day 1 of the Independent Hotel Show London ⬇️ 💧 We kicked off at the Members Club with a refreshing start (thanks to Belu water 😉) before diving into a day full of insights, inspiration and connection! 🤝 We said hello to our fellow social enterprise Who Gives A Crap , always reminding us of the power of doing good and of using good loo roll. 🗣️ Attended the thought-provoking Be Inclusive Hospitality seminar by Lorraine and Jade Mckenzie , with a standout reminder: "Diversity is a fact, inclusion is an ACT." ♻️ Spotted our "holy grail" at the ESG Hub—the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) highlighting the way forward. 🌍 Took in some hard-hitting truths at the Sustainability Showdown panel: the only way forward is by making sustainable choices NOW. 💬 Our Co-CEO Natalie Campbell MBE Campbell sat down with the Institute of Hospitality along with Clif Francis FIH , Mimi Zhu , Dawn Lawrence CBII , Isabel Hargreaves MIH and Sarah Peters BA FIH sharing their passion for the industry and how to inspire younger generations through transparency, education, and experience. 💬 Stopped by for a fun chat at the Boutique Hotelier stand with our friends Eamonn Crowe and Caroline Kelly. 🎉 And a huge (very welcome) surprise—Natalie was elected as a member of the Institute of Hospitality!
