Amazon has partnered with SpaceX to deploy its Project Kuiper satellite network, aiming to launch 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit for global broadband internet. The partnership comes after a lawsuit alleging inadequate consideration of SpaceX as a launch provider. Amazon plans to invest $10 billion into the project and is required to deploy half of the network by 2026, with the first launch scheduled for mid-2025.
