Apex Space, backed by a16z, has opened a new facility to increase satellite bus production, aiming to meet the growing demand for shorter lead times and lower launch costs. The company plans to deliver five Aries platforms for customers in 2024 and ramp up output to 20 spacecraft by 2025, with a total funding of at least $23.5 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Shield Capital.
