Australia and New Zealand Dollars Fall Against Yen to Multi-Week Lows

The Australian and New Zealand dollars fell against the yen to multi-week lows as traders bet on an end to Japan's negative interest rates. The Aussie plunged to a nine-week low of 93.74 yen, while the kiwi dollar also fell 1.7% to a five-week trough of 87.7 yen. Despite changes to the policy structure of the Reserve Bank of Australia, the market largely considers the RBA finished with its tightening, with the next move forecast to be down, likely by August, with total easing next year of 27 basis points.
