COVID-19 Vaccination and Heart Complications

COVID-19 vaccination and its association with severe side effects, such as stroke, heart attack, and cancer, is a misperception that needs to be corrected. A study in Singapore found that unvaccinated individuals who had contracted COVID-19 were at a higher risk of developing heart complications. COVID-19 infection increased the risk of new-onset cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications during the Delta variant era, and vaccination lowered the risk. MRI scans revealed abnormalities in multiple organs among patients with long Covid symptoms, and the short- and long-term risks of COVID-19 on the heart are discussed.
