DFDS, a European transport company, reported a 7.5% decrease in freight volumes in June 2023, with North Sea volumes higher due to normalizing fresh produce and robust automotive volumes. Mediterranean volumes, however, were lower due to decreased exports. Baltic Sea volumes remained below last year due to trade sanctions. Ferry passengers increased by 18.9%, driven by continued recovery and more coach passengers on the Channel. The number of passengers and cars equaled 88% of volumes in June 2019.
