EIC Fund: Backing Deeptech Startups with €3.5bn Fund

The European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund) is Europe's most active investor, backing over 159 deeptech startups with a €3.5bn fund. The EIC Fund supports companies through grants and equity investments, offering a unique combination of funding options. Healthtech was the most popular sector for investment, with a focus on non-invasive heart failure monitors and hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber makers. The EIC Fund is interested in startups working on major societal challenges, such as clean energy and materials, healthy aging, and AI. It aims to support over 500 startups in the region over the next five years.
