ESPN and Penn Entertainment have partnered to launch a sports betting business called ESPN Bet. Penn will pay ESPN $1.5 billion in cash and offer $500 million worth of warrants to purchase its shares over a 10-year term. Penn will rebrand its sportsbook service as ESPN Bet in the fall across 16 legalized betting states.
