Fulton County, Georgia, Prosecutors Request August Trial Date for Trump

Fulton County district attorney of Georgia requested an August 5 trial date for the criminal racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and his codefendants. The trial date is three weeks after the Republican presidential nominee selection and three months before the general presidential election. Trump faces 13 charges in Georgia, including racketeering and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer. If convicted on all charges, Trump could be facing a maximum sentence of 76.5 years.
